Hi champs!!!!!!!!!!!. This time I am not going to teach Biology. Actually I want to ponder some things. I think that each individual is unique and one should recognize our individual differences.

It is originated by race, ethnicity, gender, socio – economic status, age physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies. It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.

It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

Diversity is a reality created by individuals and groups from a broad spectrum of demographic and philosophical differences. It is extremely important to support and protect diversity because by valuing individuals and groups free from prejudice, and by fostering a climate where equity and mutual respect are intrinsic.

“Diversity” means more than just acknowledging and/or tolerating difference. Diversity is a set of conscious practices that involve:

  • Understanding and appreciating interdependence of humanity, cultures, and the natural environment.
  • Practicing mutual respect for qualities and experiences that are different from our own.
  • Understanding that diversity includes not only ways of being but also ways of knowing;
  • Recognizing that personal, cultural and institutionalized discrimination creates and sustains privileges for some while creating and sustaining disadvantages for others;
  • Building alliances across differences so that we can work together to eradicate all forms of discrimination.

Diversity includes, therefore, knowing how to relate to those qualities and conditions that are different from our own and outside the groups to which we belong, yet are present in other individuals and groups. These include but are not limited to age, ethnicity, class, gender, physical abilities/qualities, race, sexual orientation, as well as religious status, gender expression, educational background, geographical location, income, marital status, parental status, and work experiences. Finally, we acknowledge that categories of difference are not always fixed but also can be fluid, we respect individual rights to self-identification, and we recognize that no one culture is intrinsically superior to another.

I think I have beat about the bush a lot. I want to keep some problems which a high dignified person faces and a common man cannot.

For example, Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its a burning topic today and many of us have seen the movie too which was based on him. Guys think when he was a common sportsman like his friends, he can easily went to market, easily went to public places and wander here and there freely. But when he got a personality what type of problems he have to start facing. He cannot roam freely in public places. He cannot move with his loved ones.

I agree that he has achieved something but what is the use of that achievement when you are scared to get out in public without making changes in his body. At this place a common man can do wonders. This is the diversity which I want to keep in front of you. In this era each and every category of people are living. But still all have wants. Do you think that Bill Gates will stop imagining of getting new, getting fame. No guys, no. He has wants. In fact we all have wants. Our needs are shelter to live, food to eat and cloth to eat which is very necessary. I am not saying that one shouldn’t have wants. If one shouldn’t have then how they will fulfill their dream. Actually what I want to say all the people whether he is poor, whether he is middle class, whether he is poor all have an urge to live by hook or by crook.
