This is a matter of huge pride for all Indians.  As ISRO creates world  record, leaves NASA way behind! ISRO has successfully launched 104 satellites. When the maximum population were still sleeping, ISRO silently launched 104 satellites. These satellites include 101 nano-satellites, one each from Israel, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Switzerland, UAE and 96 from USA, as well as two from India.

This is a great success for Indian scientists as nobody has done something like this in past. ISRO has raced out all the space organisation of world in this competition. Nobody had ever thought about sending 104 satellites into space in just one launch. But ISRO did it. The second position holder in this race was NASA as it had sent about 40 satellites at one go. NASA is nowhere near in the race.

Three years back ISRO launched Mangalyan in less than the budget of any Hollywood movie. And that too in its first attempt. Prime Minister Narendra  Modi has also  congratulated ISRO scientists through his tweet. He says “Congratulations to @isro for the successful launch of PSLV-C37 and CARTOSAT satellite together with 103 nano satellites!”

The mission is named as PSLV-C37 / Cartosat-2 series mission. And so far it has successfully launched 104 satellites. According to the latest data available, it is running very smoothly. It was launched from the space centre at Sriharikota Andhra Pradesh. It contains Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation along with 103 co-passenger satellite, together weighing about 664 kg at lift off.

ISRO will soon attempt an another mega world record targeting Venus and Red Planet.
